When Michael Sliwinski the CEO of Nozbe shared with me the first time his idea of what it is a “SMART Business Owner”, I knew that it was time to expand in the concepts of Organizational Productivity and the use of Nozbe.
I decided to focus into help those SMART business Owners, those SMART Business… but what’s a Smart Business.
From the Page of Nozbe is the following (and my comments on how that fits with Nozbe.Consulting):

When I begin with my first business that was my dream. A Simple way to reach my ambition and my goals. I want it to work from an iPad, remotely, anywhere, all the time… and I want it to enjoy and value the time that I work with my team and clients and friends (many of those clients have grown to be friends over the years).

Can you imagine that level of simplicity. That for me is the aim of the SMART business owner and leaders, work in such way that you leave others to decided if you are working or playing.

“I love having my calendar full of meetings” no one had ever said. It is exhausting, boring and useless. The problem is, like with email, it is that most organizations have no better system to communicate. Emails and Meetings is the best they have. So let’s overwhelmed our people with both, maybe something gets done.
Smart Business Owners and SMART leaders know better. That’s why their meetings are shorter, more effective and better. That’s why their emails are actionable and effective. That’s why they can do more, accomplish more and support their team to do more.

Ambition is not the problem. SMART Business Owners and SMART leaders now that. The problem is to make that ambition contagious. Implement systems can be hard, but also can be fun. In our experience when we allow our team to be part of the ambition and show them how they can use tools like Nozbe to even get more ambition and better results, people begin to trust on the process and work better and smile more.

Augusto Pinaud began working remotely around 2004, before working remotely was cool. He had been in a Webex, Zoom, Team, Google Chat environment more of his professional life than not. Remote and Hybrid environments make for highly productive environments when business owners and leaders understand how to make things work. Like productivity, Remote and hybrid work it is all about trust.

We are not a big believers of the traditional definitions of Life-Balance. Life Balance assumes 50-50, or 33-33-33 (notice that there is a 1% missing) or some kind of even division. Instead I love the idea of what LP Jacks called the Master on the Art of Living.
